Day 1: CU CHI TUNNEL – HCM CITY TOUR

Start the visit Cu chi Tunnels in the morning. Cu Chi is now considered a heroic district for its role in the anti – American war in Vietnam. It is legendary for its tunnels system of over 220km and is a popular spot for both Vietnamese and foreign visitors.

You can see the peacefully rural rice paddy scenery and rubber farms alongside the road. Visitors will find it hard to imagine the destructions, damage and defoliation all over the area, caused by bombing and mines, when Cu Chi was “A Free Target Zone “. The remnants visitors will see, show Cu Chi still has her evidence to prove the fierce battleground that took place there and visitors will see the remnants.

Afternoon, A full history from Sai Gon ( Ho Chi Minh City) belonged to Colonial Regime to a modern metropolis city described in the sites of War Remnants Museum, Reunification Palace, Notre Dame Cathedral, Central Post Office, City Hall, Opera House. Last site seeing is the local market Ben Thanh – A fantastic place for shopping and bargains.

Day 2 : Ho Chi Minh City – Cai Be –  Vinh Long – Can Tho

Depart from your hotel to Cai Be by air-conditioned bus (about 110km). Along the way, a fresh green found through immense rice fields, lush gardens that show the abundance of Mekong land. On arriving in Cai Be, take a boat trip to discover the beauty of Cai Be floating market where the locals selling, buying, exchanging goods, fruit and many other commodities on their vessels. Visit some family business such as the coconut candy, the crispy rice popcorn, rice paper cake, Vietnamese rice wine.

Then wander into the small villages in an island to visit the orchard and fruit plantation and enjoy some fruit with the southern Vietnamese traditional folk music performed by locals. Keep cruising to Vinh Long and rowing boat through small canals to enjoy the charm of the Upper Mekong Delta. Have lunch with fresh river food served in the heart of the garden. Back to the motorboat and cruise further to Vinh Long city to catch up the car and continue to Can Tho city. Stay night in Can Tho

 Day 3 : Cai Rang Floating Market Can Tho – Chau Doc

After breakfast, cruising along the small and picturesque tributaries by motorboat, we will see the Cai Rang floating market (the nicest one with heaps of rowing boats). Take in the beautiful scenery and the daily activities of locals who live along the Mekong canals and you will roam through the village to visit a rice husking mill and a rice noodles making family.

Stop at Can Tho vegetable and fish market and transfer to Chau Doc by A/C vehicle. Lunch in the middle way at a crocodile farm bring you an interesting extra visit.

In Chau Doc,   you can see The Sam Mountain and visit Chua Xu Temple and Tay An Pagoda. Then continue the visit with a beautiful Tra Su Cajuput Forest is a must visit destination when visiting Chau Doc. In the forest areas where there are many water hyacinths, lotuses and water lilies… Just an hour traveling trip by boat, tourists can see the lush greenery inside and many species of birds.

Day 4 : Chau Doc  to the capital of Cambodia by Speed Boat

After breakfast and check-out the hotel, take 10 minute “Xe Loi” home-made cyclo to the Speed Boat Station. Then travel by speedboat up the Mekong to Cambodia’s capital: Phnom Penh. The total trip takes about four and a half hours (including visa formalities). Visas are easily obtained at the border between Vietnam and Cambodia and cost $34 (including the processing fee).
